1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Answerbnb (“AnswerBnB”, “we”, “us”), based in Pakistan, for your use of the AnswerBnB website and application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” includes it.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; it is a separate document and is not a substitute for these Terms.
2. The Service
AnswerBnB is an AI-powered guest communication and property operations platform for short-term rental operators. It can connect to third-party property management systems (PMS) and channel managers, read reservations and guest conversations, draft and send replies where AI messaging is turned on, use the property knowledge you provide to answer guest questions, and hand a conversation to your team when a person is needed. It is not a PMS, a booking channel, a payment service or a substitute for your own judgment about your guests.
Features and integrations differ. The Integrations page shows what is available and its status for each provider, and we may add, change or remove features and integrations as described below.
3. Accounts
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for what happens under your account. Tell us at info@answerbnb.com promptly if you think it has been accessed without permission.
- The organization is responsible for the people it invites (“authorized users”), for the role each is given, and for removing access when it is no longer appropriate. Actions taken by authorized users are treated as the organization’s actions.
- Do not share one account between people or create accounts by automated means.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for, and confirm that you have all rights, permissions and consents necessary for:
- connecting your PMS and other accounts to AnswerBnB and letting AnswerBnB access, receive and use the information in them;
- providing guest and reservation information to AnswerBnB, and telling guests what you are required to tell them about how their information and messages are handled;
- the property information, listing content, documents and knowledge you provide or approve, and its accuracy;
- sending guests automated and AI-assisted communications, including any consent, notice or disclosure that applicable law or a booking platform requires; and
- configuring the AI’s behavior for your properties, and supervising it.
You must also follow the laws that apply to you and the rules of the booking channels and systems you use.
5. AI and automated messaging
AnswerBnB uses artificial intelligence to draft and, where you turn it on, send guest messages. Please understand what that means:
- AI-generated responses can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when the Service is working as designed. We do not guarantee that any AI output is accurate, suitable or complete.
- You remain responsible for the communications sent to your guests, including those the AI sends, and for supervising them. Review conversations, escalations and settings regularly.
- The AI answers from the knowledge you provide and approve. Keeping that knowledge, and your house rules and policies, accurate and current is your responsibility, and you should not place information in it that the AI should not repeat to guests.
- You decide where the AI is used. A property’s AI is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off for your whole organization, for a property, or for a single conversation. If a matter needs a person, use those controls and reply yourself.
- Do not rely on the AI for emergencies, safety, legal, medical or financial advice, or decisions with serious consequences for a guest.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws and platform rules that apply to automated messaging.
The Privacy Policy describes what information is sent to the AI provider and how.
6. Third-party PMS and other services
Your PMS, channel manager, booking channels and other connected services are third-party services. They are not AnswerBnB’s, your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you are responsible for having the right to connect them and for staying within their rules.
What AnswerBnB can do with a connected service depends on that provider: some support reading and sending messages, some only reservations or property information, and some are not yet available to customers because the provider must first approve or enable access. A provider can change or withdraw its interface, revoke access, impose limits or suffer outages, and AnswerBnB is not responsible for failures or limits caused by third-party systems that are beyond our reasonable control, subject to applicable law. If a connection stops working you may need to reconnect it.
7. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to send unlawful, deceptive, harassing or abusive messages, or spam;
- access or try to access another organization’s data or any part of the Service you are not authorized to use, or attempt to bypass, probe or test its security without our written permission;
- introduce malware, overload or disrupt the Service, or use automated means that place an unreasonable load on it or scrape it;
- misuse guest information, including using it for purposes other than operating your rental business or in breach of the law or the guest’s reasonable expectations;
- infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy rights, or upload content you have no right to use;
- reverse engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product, except as the law allows; or
- use the AI to produce content that is unlawful or to impersonate someone in a misleading way.
8. Your content and data
You keep ownership of, and control over, the property information, listing content, knowledge, documents, reservation and guest information and conversations that you or your connected systems provide to the Service (“Customer Content”). AnswerBnB does not claim ownership of it, including of your guests’ conversations.
You give AnswerBnB a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, process, transmit, secure, back up and display Customer Content, and to have it processed by the service providers described in the Privacy Policy, only as needed to provide, secure, maintain and operate the Service for you and to comply with the law. The Service includes features that learn from answers you approve for your own properties. We do not use Customer Content to train AI models for anyone else, and we do not sell it.
We may use aggregated or de-identified operational data, such as usage counts and error rates, that does not identify you or your guests, to run and improve the Service.
9. Privacy, security and data after termination
The Privacy Policy describes what information we handle, our service providers, how long information is kept and how to ask for deletion. When your account ends, information is handled as that policy describes: it is not deleted automatically, and you can ask us at info@answerbnb.com to delete your organization or individual guests’ records, or to give you a copy of your organization’s information. Information can remain in our providers’ backups until they expire, as the policy explains.
The Security page describes the protections in place. No system is completely secure, and we cannot promise that information will never be accessed, lost or disclosed without authorization.
10. Intellectual property
AnswerBnB and its licensors own the Service, including its software, website, user interface, design, branding, documentation and the technology behind it. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own business while these Terms apply. No other rights are granted, and nothing here transfers AnswerBnB’s intellectual property to you. Third-party names and logos shown on the site belong to their owners and indicate compatibility, not endorsement.
11. Feedback
If you give us suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you. This does not give us any rights in your Customer Content.
12. Fees and payment
Prices and plans are shown on the Pricing page. As of the effective date, the website does not collect payments and has no online payment provider connected, and it asks for no payment card when you create an account. Any fee, and how and when it is billed, is agreed with you in writing before it is charged.
AnswerBnB has not published standard refund, cancellation or payment-failure terms. These Terms themselves create no refund entitlement and no cancellation fee; those matters are what we agree with you in writing. Fees are stated exclusive of any taxes that apply, unless we say otherwise.
13. Availability, support and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on providers we do not control, including hosting, database, AI and email providers, connected PMS systems and the internet, and we may perform maintenance, change or discontinue features or integrations, or limit use where needed to protect the Service. We will try to give reasonable notice of a change that materially affects you.
Support depends on your plan, as described on the Pricing page; these Terms do not set a response-time or availability commitment.
14. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to close your account and delete your information as the Privacy Policy describes.
- We may suspend or end your access, with notice where practical, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates a security risk or is abusive or unlawful, if the law or a provider’s requirements call for it, or if we stop offering the Service.
- Ending your account does not remove obligations that arose before it, such as fees already agreed and the provisions that by their nature continue: content and IP rights, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law and this section.
15. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will meet your requirements, that AI output will be accurate or appropriate, that guest communications will be delivered, read or acted on, that a connected PMS or channel will be available or will behave as expected, or that the Service will be free of interruptions, errors or delays caused by the internet, providers or events outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or warranty that the law does not permit to be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, AnswerBnB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, bookings, reputation, goodwill or data, arising out of or relating to the Service, even if we were told it was possible. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to AnswerBnB for the Service in respect of the period in which the event giving rise to the claim occurred.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or intentional wrongdoing.
17. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify AnswerBnB against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from: your Customer Content; your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law; connecting accounts or providing guest information that you had no right to connect or provide; or your communications with guests, including those sent by the AI on your instructions and configuration. We will tell you promptly of a claim, and you will not settle it in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our consent.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, where AnswerBnB is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory law of the place where you live that cannot be excluded. If a dispute arises, please write to info@answerbnb.com first so that we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms do not designate a particular court, and nothing in them stops either of us from seeking urgent relief from a court that has jurisdiction.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and for a change that materially affects you we will also notify account owners by email or in the application. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect you accept it; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and ask us to close your account.
20. General
- These Terms, together with anything we agree with you in writing, are the whole agreement about the Service. If they conflict, what we agreed with you in writing comes first.
- If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them as part of a reorganization or sale of the business.
- Neither of us is responsible for a failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
