AI property management, and where AnswerBnB fits.
AI property management means using AI for parts of running rental properties, such as answering guests. AnswerBnB is not a property management system and does not replace one. It is the AI conversation layer that works alongside your existing PMS, and today it covers guest messaging.
A conversation layer on top of the system you already run
What the term covers
Running short-term rentals involves bookings, calendars, pricing, cleaning, maintenance and guest communication. “AI property management” is used for AI applied to any of these. The parts differ a lot in how safe it is to automate them, which is why it matters to be specific about which part a product covers.
The part AnswerBnB covers
AnswerBnB covers guest conversations. It connects to your PMS, reads each message with its property and reservation, answers from the knowledge you provide, and escalates to your team when a person is needed. Your PMS stays the source of truth for bookings and calendars.

AI property management, answered directly
What is AI property management?
AI property management means using AI for parts of running rental properties, such as answering guests. AnswerBnB is not a property management system and does not replace one. It is the AI conversation layer that works alongside your existing PMS, and today it is focused on guest messaging. Turnover and maintenance coordination are planned and not available yet.
What can AnswerBnB's AI do for a property manager today?
It answers guest questions from each property's own knowledge (for example check-in details, Wi-Fi, parking and house rules), uses reservation context to know which stay a message is about, asks a clarifying question when a message is ambiguous, escalates to your team with a reason when it cannot answer safely, and lets you take over any conversation. It does not create or change reservations, take payments, or run configurable workflows.
Can AnswerBnB work with multiple properties?
Yes. You choose which properties to import from your PMS, knowledge is stored separately for each property so an answer for one listing never draws on another's, and AI can be switched on property by property, with an organization-wide switch and a switch for each conversation.
Can it connect to my PMS?
AnswerBnB has connectors for 17 of the 20 property management platforms it tracks, and you connect with the credentials your PMS provides. An honest caveat: 1 of them (Hospitable) has been verified end to end with a real account. The others are built from each provider's documentation and are labelled Connection Ready or Configuration Required until they are.
Can it handle reservations?
It uses reservation context from your PMS (property, dates, guest) to answer questions like "when do we leave?" and to know which property a conversation is about. AnswerBnB does not create or change reservations, and it does not take payments.
Can AnswerBnB automate workflows?
Today it answers guest messages and escalates to your team. A configurable trigger-to-action automation engine (for example pre-arrival or post-stay flows) is on the roadmap and is not available yet.
