The property knowledge base that keeps AI answers specific to each listing.
A property knowledge base is the set of facts an AI is allowed to answer from for one listing. In AnswerBnB you build it from a website URL, PDFs such as a house manual, and facts entered by hand. It is stored separately for each property, so an answer never draws on another property's knowledge, and where it does not cover a question AnswerBnB escalates to your team instead of guessing.
The sources you can add, and what to cover
Sources AnswerBnB reads
- A website URL for the property or listing, read with the site's robots.txt respected
- PDFs you upload, such as a house manual or check-in guide
- Facts you enter or correct by hand
- For some PMS platforms, listing details read directly from the PMS
What a useful knowledge base covers
- Check-in and check-out details and access instructions
- Wi-Fi, parking, and house rules
- Appliances and how to use them
- Local tips guests ask about
From a guest's question to an answer grounded in one property
The same four steps run for every message.
1. The property comes first
Before any knowledge is searched, AnswerBnB resolves which property the conversation belongs to. Retrieval is then limited to that property as a hard filter, not a ranking preference, so an account with a hundred properties never surfaces another listing's facts.
2. Relevant facts are retrieved
From that property's own sources, AnswerBnB retrieves the facts that bear on the guest's question and combines them with the reservation details from your PMS.
3. It answers only if the evidence supports it
When the retrieved knowledge and its confidence support a reply, AnswerBnB answers. When they do not, it does not guess.
4. Otherwise it hands over to your team
The guest gets a short, honest message that your team will follow up, and an escalation with the reason is created for a person to answer.
Test it first, and know what is still being built
You stay in control
- AI stays off for a property until you activate it
- Test answers against your own property in AI Testing before turning AI on
- Add or correct facts by hand whenever an answer is wrong or incomplete
Still being built
- Structured fact extraction with per-fact provenance
- Source authority ranking
- Automatic conflict detection between sources
Property knowledge, answered directly
How does the AI learn my property?
You teach it. Add a website URL for AnswerBnB to read, upload PDFs such as a house manual or check-in guide, and add or correct facts by hand. Knowledge is stored per property, so an answer for one listing never draws on another's. For some PMS platforms AnswerBnB can also read listing details directly from the PMS.
What should a property knowledge base include?
Whatever guests ask about that property: check-in and check-out details, access instructions, Wi-Fi, parking, house rules, appliances, and local tips. Add a website, PDFs such as a house manual, and facts by hand, then test answers in AI Testing before turning AI on. Anything the knowledge does not cover is escalated to your team instead of guessed.
What happens when the AI does not know the answer?
It does not guess. When the property's knowledge doesn't cover a question, or its confidence is low, the guest gets a short honest message that the host's team will follow up. It never invents a fact, a discount, a fix time, or availability. An escalation is created for your team with the reason.
Can AnswerBnB work with multiple properties?
Yes. You choose which properties to import from your PMS, knowledge is stored separately for each property so an answer for one listing never draws on another's, and AI can be switched on property by property, with an organization-wide switch and a switch for each conversation.
Can I control which properties use AI?
Yes. AI is off for a property until you activate it. There is an organization-wide switch, a switch per property, and a switch per conversation, so you can run AI on some listings and keep others fully manual.
