Turnover and maintenance coordination — where it's headed

Cleaning crews and maintenance need coordinating around every checkout. Here's what AnswerBnB's architecture already has in place, and what is honestly still a planned extension rather than a live feature.

The problem

Every checkout needs a cleaning crew notified, and every property occasionally needs a maintenance issue tracked and resolved — both need real coordination, not a spreadsheet nobody checks.

What exists in the architecture today

Real, shipped foundation

  • A property-scoped Action Items list, tied to the same organization/property tenant model as everything else
  • Conversations and escalations are already linked to a specific property and reservation, not just a generic inbox

Not yet built

  • Automatic turnover-task creation from a checkout event Planned
  • Cleaning-crew scheduling, assignment, or dispatch Planned
  • A dedicated maintenance-ticket workflow (reported issue → assigned → resolved) Planned
  • PMS-triggered automation around reservation start/end times Planned

What we don't claim

This is not a live turnover-management or maintenance-ticketing product today. It's the next natural extension of the same context-and-escalation architecture that already powers guest messaging — described here honestly as planned so it's clear what you'd be getting now versus what's on the roadmap.
