Guest questions don't wait for business hours — and neither does AnswerBnB's knowledge.
A 2am question about check-in time gets the same verified answer as one asked at 2pm. Anything that genuinely needs a person still goes to a person — honestly, not silently dropped.
An autoresponder is not an answer
Hosts can't stay awake for every guest message, and a generic after-hours autoresponder (“we'll get back to you in the morning”) doesn't actually answer anything. A guest locked out at midnight needs a real answer now, not a promise of one later.
What AnswerBnB actually does after hours
Answered immediately
- Any question the Safe Answer decision layer has sufficient, unconflicted, current evidence for — same rules as during the day
- No lowered bar overnight: the same authority/freshness/conflict checks apply at 2am as at noon
- Only for properties where you have switched AI on. Nothing is sent automatically for a property you have not activated
Handed to a human, honestly
- A real escalation record — reason, category, priority — not a silent drop or a vague “someone will follow up”
- Anything ambiguous, conflicting, or under-documented is clarified or escalated rather than guessed at
- Your team is alerted by email, WhatsApp, or Slack, and can take over the conversation from the inbox
A late-night question, handled
An illustrative conversation with an invented guest and property, showing the same rules applying overnight.
What we don’t claim
AnswerBnB does not provide human staffing. It does not claim a live, 24/7 staffed help desk of its own — escalations are handed to whoever the host's own team designates to receive them. What it is built to do is make sure a question it can't confidently answer is not silently ignored or guessed at, at any hour.
